Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, very well decorated and nicely furnished, air con in every room. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms even though I think we only paid for a single.
Breakfast was well worth getting from their restraunt and also the food in the evening was very good, possibly the best swordfish I've ever had.
Travelled via Pisa airport, took the train from Central Pisa Station to Grosseto, trains are a great way to get around Italy IMO, then was a quick taxi to Fattoria San Lorenzo.
We did not hire a car as didn't feel comfortable using a left hand drive and the nearest shop is about 2km down the road, and most people here had a car to explore the surround areas.
Who I think is the owner kindly lent us a bike to go to the shops twice and even offered to give us a lift (which we declined as the bikes were more than enough)
There are 3 sites called Fattoria San Lorenzo within a 30 minute walk, pictures on each are sometimes assigned to the wrong site
Thank you for our stay :)
If you are looking for a relaxing stay in southern Tuscany that affords you not only vineyard options but is also a short 20 minute drive to a wide, inviting beach, look no further than Fattoria San Lorenzo! The property is beautiful and the accommodations are large and very nicely furnished. We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom that had an open living/dining/kitchen on the main level and a lovely patio with table and chairs. It was early October, but the sun was still warm and our son enjoyed the pool. Breakfasts were plentiful and farm fresh. We also enjoyed a dinner during our stay. We really loved getting to know Veronica, and she had a fantastic wine pairing recommendation for dinner. Jana adored our son, and was always saying hello! S in the office was patient with our many questions about what vineyards to visit and where to eat. She made phone calls for us to set up vineyard tastings since October is the beginning of low season, and drew us maps so we knew how to get there! There is a grocery store a quick three minute drive from the farm that was convenient to pick up things to cook in our little kitchen. Our stay was so relaxing and enjoyable! We definitely plan to return!
Absolutely stunning location for beaches away from traffic. The complex is clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. You can hire bikes for 10 euros a day. Great cycle track that takes you throught national park to thr beach. Would highly recommend.
Holiday apartments with a lot of unrealized potential. The location is convenient with a supermarket nearby (5 minute drive) and a 20-30 minute drive from the nearest beach. Many of the positive reviews highlight how peaceful the area is... however it is not surprising considering the location lies in the middle of farmland. The flies and mosquitoes are particularly bad in this area which might have something to do with the surrounding low lands and nearby silage/manure processing plant. If the wind is blowing the wrong way, then the smell from the plant is difficult to bear and thus compels the guests to visit the beach and not the pool. We didn't try the restaurant because we weren't too impressed with the upkeep of the site. The design of the apartment was not great with a stairway that seemed designed to wake up the whole apartment and perhaps even the neighbors. The hot water heater and other utilities are poorly hidden and back onto the outside patio and relaxing area. The pool is nice, however much of the pool furniture looks tired. The site maintenance seems haphazard with grass cutting performed during peak pool hours, sun loungers left in the road after being moved to cut the grass. In summary, the surrounding area and beaches are very pretty. Next time I visit I will not stay at this property because I believe that the price point does not match the quality of the apartment or services. I am glad that we only stayed 3 nights, if we had been there for a full week, then I would have felt robbed. We didn't stay at other properties because a lack of availability for a family of five and short stay.
Great place, ideal as a base for visiting Tuscany! Very clean, excellent swimming pool, nice restaurant, wonderful location. The personnel is very kind and friendly. Nice shopping center in 2 km. About 7 from the sea (Principina Mare).
The staff there was amazing, always very helpful and offering good advise:) they have great swimming pool, with palm trees were you can hide from the sun if needed:) also we had the continental breakfast being offered there and it was very perfect - always everything fresh and Emiliano was of great help, trying to comply with all dietary requests. There is also a restaurant at Fattoria, which serves lunch and dinner. The food there is very good and it is very convenient to have such option at the holiday place.
Great place. We had the best honeymoon here. Located outside Grosseto it was peaceful and it was a delight enjoying the morning coffee in complete silence and Nature.
Stylish accommodation in a quiet romantic area near lovely beaches (air-conditioned rooms, included kitchen in the apartment), good restaurant, excellent coffee and food, relaxing zone, beautiful swiming pool, nice staff, we recommend this place to everyone.
